The Shalom Spiritual Life Center is a place to get away and be renewed in body and spirit.

There are acres of trails to walk, limited exposure to the hectic world, and places to sit and be in God’s unhurried presence.

We provide 2 bedrooms and 2 baths (only 1 shown), a kitchen, a dining room, and even laundry facilities

for when you need more than one day away to be renewed.

We provide a comfortable living area for small groups to use, as well as a small chapel/library for your personal use.

There are books to help you reflect, guided retreat materials based on John Wesley’s prayers,

and videotapes and other media for meditation.

A Note from Sid and Mary Jean Leeper

Several years ago, we were mowing hay on what is now the 33 acres of Shalom Spiritual Life Center.  Except for the tractor, there was no other sound of civilization.  The birds were singing, we had disturbed a doe and her fawn, trees swayed in the breeze.  We both agreed, “This is too lovely not to share.”  So the idea of a spiritual retreat center was born.

It took years for what is now the center to be realized.  Someone who uses the center says it is “the best kept secret in the conference.”  Those of us involved hope and pray that this is just the beginning of our much greater vision.

We hope each of you reading this will be able to have a day or more apart for rest and renewal in this beautiful spot.  Or, that your small group might come here together to grow closer to God and one another.
